Vile Beast of the Day: Mazie Grace Graves
There's no question it is time for me to get back to posting on my blog. It's a wonderful creative outlet for someone who is as committed to their craft as me. Today I wanted to take a minute to introduce you to one of the vile beasts who lives in my house. I actually kind of like her...from a distance.Meet Mazie Grace Graves. She was born with fully mature cataracts on both eyes and has been blind from birth. She has had several surgeries on her eyes that have helped her to be able to see some - hence, her name...short for the American hymn..."I once was blind, but now I see". You'd never know Mazie ever had issues with her vision. She pretty much runs the house and keeps the vile beasts under control...thank goodness! All of the vile beasts have job titles. Mazie is the official Social Director. She likes everyone and tries to mother every living thing that walks through the door - including the woman. Like me, she has inflammatory bowel disease. She almost died several years ago before they determined what the problem was. But she is on daily medicine and seems to be doing fine. The woman loves Mazie dearly...I know she has been through a lot and we have a mutual respect for each other. She knows I have no patience for foolishness and she keeps her distance just the way I like it. She is one vile beast that I can pleasantly co-exist with. You can read more from Mazie Grace herself here. And so, my dear friends, that concludes today's update. I hope you all have a fabulous Sunday!
